In this article, you’ll see a complete comparison of the best SMS marketing integrations for HubSpot so that you can decide which one is best to help you take your marketing and sales efforts to the next level.
You know that feeling when you’re trying to engage with your customers through traditional marketing channels like email or social media, but it seems like your message is falling on deaf ears? It’s frustrating, and it can be hard to know what to do next. But what if there was a way to reach your customers where they are and ensure your message gets through?
That’s where SMS marketing comes in. With an average open rate of 98% (PC Mag), SMS marketing can be a game-changer for businesses looking to connect with their customers. And when integrated with HubSpot, SMS marketing can become even more effective.
In this article, you’ll see a complete comparison of the best SMS marketing integrations for HubSpot so that you can decide which one is best to help you take your marketing and sales efforts to the next level.
For each of the below options, you’ll get to see a comparison of features, cost, and support.
Message Media
Features
MessageMedia is a winner when it comes to features, with all of the features you could possibly think of when it comes to SMS Marketing.
MessageMedia have three groups of features:
- The Essentials
- Features that take your messaging to the next level
- Features that give expert-level control
The Essentials
Features that take your messaging to the next level
Features that give expert level control
On top of this MessageMedia has an enormous range of integrations, including HubSpot of course. You can see a full list of Message Media’s integrations here.
Cost
When it comes to the cost of MessageMedia, while it is higher in comparison to its competitors on the list, depending on the requirements you need out of your SMS tool, it could be worth the investment to you. Let’s take a look at the cost.
Each plan is capped with a certain amount of messages, and after that you get charged per message, with the per-message-charge being cheaper the higher the plan. You can see that comparison below.
Support
MessageMedia is the clear winner when it comes to support. They offer live chat, email, and phone support, and it’s 24/7 support. We’ve all been there when trying to access support from an international company – the never ending sound of music while you’re put on hold for hours on end – it’s frustrating. Sometimes it may be tricky dealing with different time zones when it comes to getting support, so with MessageMedia being an Australian company, it helps significantly in easy access to support.
Sakari.io
Features
In my opinion, Sakari.io definitely loses to MessageMedia when it comes to features, but it isn’t at the bottom of the list. Here’s the features that Sakari.io offers:
Compared to over 36 features offered by MessageMedia, Sakari.io offers only 12 features. However, if you need a simple SMS Marketing software to use which integrates with HubSpot, Sakari.io isn’t a bad choice.
Cost
When it comes to cost, Sakari.io is the cheapest on the list. Sakari’s payment plans are not feature based but instead message based. In other words, you have access to all features across every plan, but the amount you pay per month increases as the number of messages you send increases.
On top of this, you’ll get charged per additional message credit every month. For example, if your plan only allows 214 messages, and you send 215, you’ll get charged an extra $0.075 that month. This additional charge decreases with every subsequent plan.
And finally, if you plan on sending more than 9330 messages per month, then you’ll need to talk to their sales team to discuss pricing. You can see the exact pricing plans below:
Support
When it comes to support, Sakari are bottom of the list. They only offer phone and email support and are only available Monday- Friday, 9am-6pm AEST.
With no live chat feature, and their company based in the US, we’ve previously found that getting support from Sakari in a timely manner quite difficult.
Kixie
Features
Kixie is bottom of the list when it comes to features. The reason for this is that Kixie isn’t only an SMS Marketing software, but also a calling software specifically for sales. Because of its focus on sales as opposed to marketing, SMS Marketing isn’t necessarily their core feature, so it makes sense that it doesn’t compare to the features of companies that focus solely on these things.
Kixie offers three main SMS features:
The Team SMS and SMS Templates feature is probably better used by sales professionals than marketing. If you’re looking at doing SMS Marketing to cold leads, you’re probably looking at using the Automated Text Messages feature. In this way, we could say that Kixie only really has one feature that’s relevant to you.
If you’re looking at focusing on SMS Marketing, we wouldn’t recommend Kixie to you. However, if you want to focus on sales and calls with SMS Marketing as a secondary objective, Kixie might be for you (but then in that case, you might want to also compare Kixie to other alternatives to find the best solution for your needs).
Cost
When it comes to cost, the price is comparable to MessageMedia. However, the features are comparably different, which means you end up getting a better bang for your buck with either MessageMedia or Sakari.io. As you can see in the above image, the majority of features aren’t SMS Marketing related, but instead sales focused.
Support
Kixie’s support is comparable to Sakari.io’s. The difference is that while Sakari and MessageMedia actually mention their availability time, Kixie does not, so you’re left wondering what time range their support is available from.
For any users of their software, email support or live chat support is available, and for professional users, phone support is available, for US, UK, and Australian users (note that the company is a US company).
We’d have to say that Kixie wins in terms of support compared to Sakari.io, simply because it offers more types of support, and we’re assuming it’s 24/7 since it doesn’t specify. However, compared to MessageMedia, Kixie loses.
So, which is best?
You can see a full comparison in the image above. As you can see, MessageMedia is the clear winner, only losing in terms of cost, but still claiming second place here.
